For this new Unit, 6, all the group class will work together with the Performing Arts students whom wrote a song and now they will perform in the music video we will produce and edit. We had different meetings already where they shared their thoughts and ideas about what they wanted.

Their first idea was:
A photo album, there's this person (who can see just her/his hands) browsing around the pages and seeing the pictures which look like polaroids. Inside the pictures there are different locations and different couples, who will dance once the camera is "inside" the picture.
It made me think quickly about a One Direction's music video:
"Story of my life". There are many pictures all around the room and once the camera in on it, the picture "takes life".
They want different locations like a graffiti park, a forest and a white room. They still need to figure out where they actually want to be filmed.
Ideas
The main thing is: they will dance.
I did then my own researches and looked up on some existing music videos. I ended up with Taylor Swift: Shake it off>
I think they could make different groups and being equally divided so you can see the each movement. I also think that it could be fun doing something like this as anyway the rhythm of the song is quite amusing and in a certain way "happy", even if the lyrics aren't. I like the fact that there are different types of costumes and types of dance like pop, classic... they stand out in a plain black background.
My second video is from Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars: Uptown Funk.
I think there are pretty cool shots and I would probably use them. There are so many of them like long shots, both close-up and extreme close-up and I also think that the shots are well used because they exactly match the song with the dance.
During another meeting, the whole class practiced some shots and we had the opportunity to see the dancers performing. We made up a video with some of the best shots we took on that day. Each of us had taken shots from different angles and positions, trying to take the best parts of the dance. We had a clear view about the locations which are going to be a park, car park and a road and all of these locations are located near college so that we don't have to bring our equipment too far.
After these shots I got really excited because it will be the first time that I will film people who are inspiring to become actors, so they are supposed to be quite serious about the feelings they have to show.
