The new unit is about Radio play/Podcast.
What's a Radio Play?
Radio play is basically a read script. Called specifically "Radio Drama", it's based on an audio file where the story is told and it wants the person who is listening, to imagine in his mind the scene that is described, as there are no visual scenes. The Play can have sounds and special effects, but also it can also be just the narrator's voice. I heard then examples of the twos:
A Mother's Journey.
In this first example the storyteller is Catherine Cross. It tells the story as a mother who's living the coming out of her own daughter. The person who listens feels like in the mother's mind, speaking of thoughts and reactions. Even though, the mother is not the only character, the screenwriter give us just dialogues with the other characters, so that we don't their thoughts but their emotions are described by the mother herself.
The Play then is made of just dialogues and thoughts and these allows the person listening to imagine the situation, the scenery, even if there are completely no sounds or even effects.
The target audience I guess was for all those people who can see themselves in this situation. Every parents who has experienced their own sons' coming out and at the same time the experience of those people who are scared to say to the loved ones who they really want to be.
I found it really interesting because it made me think on what I would do if I was the mother. What my thoughts, my reactions would be. It also made me think about other questions and the girl's feelings. If I was her, what would I do? What my parents would think? And all my friends?

Serial, season 1: episode 1
This version of Play is more complex. In this crime story, we can hear both narration and dialogues, but this time to make the story more effective there are as support even suspecting music and sound effects. All of these things make the scenery easier to imagine, the mind of the person who is listening can fully imagine the scene and what happens.
I like more this type of Play because it's easier to think about the scene, thanks to sounds and effects.

IDEAS
My first idea is about The Alchemist, Coelho's book. I've been reading the book and I think it is really inspirational and educative.
The Alchemist was published in 1988 in its original language, Portuguese. The story is based on a Andalusian shepherd who sells all he's got to pursue his dream of finding a treasure in Egypt. During his journey he's gonna meet people who teach him lessons, values, he has to take decisions and most of the time he does it by following his heart.

Paulo Coelho.
This is all about, the message Coelho wants to send is following our dreams, hearts and somehow even our destiny. I love this book, the story and the meaning behind it. It gives you the strength to follow your dreams, even if they are impossible to achieve.
In two weeks, Coelho wrote the most read book of the world. He's really affectioned to this book, and so for the first years he refused the making a movie version because he thought that "a book has a 'life of its own inside the reader's mind"'.

2. My second idea is in a way connected to 'The Alchemist" because it would talk about following dreams and destiny.
My character, a 25 years old woman, is tired of her life. She's been working since the age of 18 and her dream is always been to travel the word because wherever she would live, she's feeling like it is not her home. She likes exploring new cultures and places, new languages, costumes and all that is possible to learn from a different Country. She wants to travel and collect a series of pictures of the most beautiful places in the world, to put all together...but that wouldn't be all. She wants to find herself, her true self, and be able to say at the end that "she lived her life in full".
3. My third idea is about a man who is living the best years of his life: great job, a wife and a little daughter whom he loves more than anything. One day he wakes up and realize that all his life was a dream, nothing he had was real anymore. In real life he never met that girl who in the dream was her wife. Everything is completely changed apart from a picture of him with his dream family in his wallet....
