Conglomerate; a 'parent' company that own a range of small companies.

Oligopoly; when a market is owned by small companies.
Division; when a company, business, organization is divided.
Horizontal integration; when a media company owns different businesses in the same sector of the industry.
Vertical integration; a single company which can control production and supply of a product.

Nat Geo is the American digital cable and satellite television channel that is owned by National Geographic Partners, but majority-owned by 21st Century Fox.
The channel features documentaries with factual content involving nature, science, culture, and history.

Flickr is an image and video hosting website and web services suite that was created by Ludicorp in 2004 and acquired by Yahoo on March 20, 2005.
I will probably use the Nat Geo and Flickr as guidance for my logo, the first one because is about documentaries and the second is because it is about pictures.
