Idea trailer.

As first idea, I wanted to make a drama/romantic trailer for my project, but I changed it for something funnier and easier probably to film. As I did with my video in Richmond, I thought to recreate something similar.

I had a discussion then with my classmates in which I asked the questions below to find out what they would like to see in the trailer.

It turned out that all animals are quite funny, like pigeons with the movement of their head and bugs because it reminds of "A Bug's life" cartoon...

Adding silly sound effects and animal talking, they think it will make relationships between the animals so I can put on conversations.

It should come out then like a Documentary/Mockumentary. However, I'd like to make it like a movie because I think it's easier to make conversations between animals as there is a story.

As secondary research, I watched some trailers of films and animations, related to my primary source, such as:

Babe, 1995

This one was my favorite movie when I was little. It's always enchanted me because of animal talking and also I used to found it really funny though.

The Zookeeper, 2011

As a recent movie, I think this one is a good example of "animal talking" and film. I like the colors and also how the trailer is made: quick shots that show the film in general and what you will see.

I like the fluid conversations between animals and also with the human.

Stranger Things, 2016

Also as completely different, I thought to base my story on Netflix's remake "Stranger Things".

The story will be pretty much the same, but with animals. I will try to keep it on the thriller/horror genre as visual image but it will be a comedy story.

Overview:

The movie is called "Stranger Animals" and it's a parody of Stranger Things.

Animals are the characters of the story, which will be looking for a disappeared member of the group, as the original story. Everyone thinks that it has been taken as human food. Will they find their friend or will it be too late?

It's called "Stranger Animals" because animals cannot actually talk, which make it "strange".

Also there are going to be animals who speak foreign languages which others cannot understand but somehow they will help in finding it.
