Begin Again

Genre: Drama, comedy

Release year: 2014

Director: John Carney

Starring: Keira Knightley, Mark Ruffalo, Adam Levine...

Begin Again talks about the lives of two distinctly characters who will team up to find happiness again. The beginning of the trailer starts showing their past lives before "everything got changed". Sound effect, texts, and shots help the audience to understand what's all about, what the main characters will feel throughout the movie because of these events. The ex record executive who has a daughter to take care of and the lost love of the girl, make us understand that the genre is a drama but mixed with comedy.

In the editing of the trailer, it's been used songs from the movie which change depending on what happens...for example when the girl's boyfriend says to her they need to talk, suddenly it becomes sad and then changes again when the two main characters meet. There are quick shots that show an overview of the movie. The scenes though are separated from companies' houses name and texts. The trailer ends with the end of the song and the director's name.

From one side there's my beloved Knightley which shows her skills not just on acting but also in singing, which makes her more interesting. Great performance even from Mark Ruffalo, who I personally saw just as The Hulk and so impressed me.

Silver Lining Playbook

Genre: Drama, Comedy

Release year: 2012

Director: David O. Russell

Starring: Jennifer Lawrence, Bradley Cooper, Robert DeNiro...

The trailer starts with a dialogue between DeNiro and Weaver, which are Cooper's parents and from here we can see how worried is his "father" about his behaviour and the fact that he left the mental care. Overall, the trailer introduces the characters and their "problems". The music on background stops on some important parts to make the dialogues clearer. The two mains, which are Cooper and Lawrence, are shown making up at the middle of the trailer which captures the attention of the audience. The song on the background towards the end refers to their actual mental problems. The trailer follows showing the actors performing with their respective names. There are also two quotes, told by DeNiro and Cooper, from the movie in the background during the end that captures again the attention of the audience because of their meanings and this make the audience go deep on it. Also the last quote matches with the name of the movie. It ends then with the film's name and credits.

The storyline of base is a drama, but is made funnier by adding some comedy on it.

Inception

Genre: Adventure, Sci-Fi

Release year: 2010

Director: Christopher Nolan

Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Tom Hardy...

It start with the companies' logos which their animation style refers to the visual effects that the film has and the music in background, being stronger when the Director and his latest movie(typical of Nolan) are presented, is quite mysterious and creates suspense. The music goes for all the trailer, while the main character of the film is introduced and explains what's his job. The quick shots shows an overview of the film, which is sci-fi genre, and it's useful to attract the audience to watch it. The dialogue explains what's going on and it also explains the title of the film, so it gives the audience an idea. The title is shown, big bold font for it. The trailer ends with a kinda funny conversation between Hardy and Levitt and the shot is followed by the end of the music. As normal, the credits are the end.
