"Media in London"

This is the final video for these two units.

Making

To film this video this two cameras below. The one on the left side was used to record the interviews alongside the microphone on the next picture. I used then the DSLR camera to go outside and record.

The weather that day wasn't one of the best. It was too cloudy and while I were shooting in Leicester Square, it started to rain so I had to pack up everything and look for cover which took about 15 minutes of my time. Just after, the sun came out and in fact those at the square were the best shots of the day. However, everything went well. I was able to shot inside the BFI which I was scared they wouldn't permit it and I wish I had filmed even inside the BAFTAs.

I also wish I had filmed more about London, like more streets, local shops and a bit around.

Editing

The things that I liked most about this video were making the titles, and the Time Lapse shots which I took with my Iphone camera.

I used After Effects and Adobe Bridge for the titles.

It took me a while, because I had to put the different backgrounds for the single words and the effects too, as they were separeted from each one.

To cut some of the clips I used a filter called exactly "crop" and then I moved them where I wanted.

Then to fix the light image I added Brightness and Contrast.

I also added a blue sky background to some of the clips as the natural grey it came out was pretty bad to see. I think it came out quite well as it's not really visible while the movie is on.

The audio, apart from the music as background that I put, I think they are low quality. At the beginning of the video, there shoud be one of my interviewed speaking but you can barely hear it even though I fixed it with a filter(DeNoiser) and I turned the music really low. For the other two interviewed people, the sound came out with lots of noises on the background so again I tried to fix it with the filter and it's probably better than the first one. I should have recorded it again but unfortunately I hadn't any other time..

Although all these small errors I made, I think that as first time for a long video I think it didn't came out badly. As I said, I wish I recorded more about London, had used more angles like low/high angles and close ups. I would have liked also to have had more time on editing.
